TNA Wrestling has added a new singles match to its Victory Road card, as Joe Hendry is scheduled to face Eric Young. The bout takes place this Friday, September 26, live from the Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, and will air on TNA+.
The match stems from a recent episode of TNA Impact where Hendry caused a distraction that led to Young’s loss against Judas Icarus. Following the defeat, Young confronted Director of Authority Santino Marella to demand the match. The confrontation capped off an ongoing storyline that began last month when Young attacked Hendry as part of his mission to “cleanse” the company.
Hendry is currently working for both TNA and WWE’s NXT brand and is reportedly expected to sign with WWE full-time in early 2026.
The Hendry–Young clash joins an updated Victory Road card that also features Mustafa Ali vs. Moose and Steve Maclin defending the International Championship against Frankie Kazarian.
The event’s lineup underwent a major change on September 24, when TNA canceled a scheduled Knockouts Championship match. Masha Slamovich was removed from her title bout against Ash by Elegance following public allegations of domestic abuse made by her former partner, independent wrestler AKIRA. The company confirmed a formal internal investigation is underway.
“We take any allegations like this very seriously, and have begun an internal investigation,” a TNA representative stated.
In a public statement, AKIRA, whose real name is Alexander Atkisson, alleged he attempted s—cide multiple times during the relationship. Screenshots of messages attributed to Slamovich were also posted online. One message reportedly read: “You cursed at me — that’s why you got hit. Again, cool to see you claim intelligence and can’t see metaphor.”
In response to the allegations, West Coast Pro has also pulled Slamovich from its October 5 event.
