Following his dominant return at Wrestlepalooza, Brock Lesnar is reportedly scheduled to appear at two of WWE’s biggest events in early 2026. WrestleVotes Radio reports that The Beast Incarnate is internally listed for both the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 42, with creative plans already being developed around his availability.
While a specific direction for the Royal Rumble is unknown, discussions have reportedly begun regarding Lesnar’s opponent for WrestleMania 42. According to Bodyslam, Bron Breakker has been considered for the marquee match in Las Vegas.
These long-term plans come just after Lesnar’s first match in more than two years at Wrestlepalooza, where he defeated 17-time world champion John Cena in under ten minutes. The decisive victory immediately re-established Lesnar as a top-tier attraction.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the nature of the finish was a specific request from Cena himself. On his farewell tour, Cena has been focused on elevating other talent and believed a dominant loss would best serve to rebuild Lesnar as a major threat.
Meltzer further explained the backstage dynamic. “At the end of the day, the decision is Paul Levesque’s, but if John says that, it’s not like Paul Levesque is going to say: ‘No, no, no, you have to win.’ Especially when Brock is the one who stays and he is the one who is leaving.”
As Lesnar’s path is mapped out, Cena’s farewell tour continues. His next confirmed appearance is at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, on October 11, where he will face AJ Styles. Styles accepted Cena’s social media challenge on September 24, 2025.
