TNA Apparently Continues Disciplinary Action Against Masha Slamovich Amid Recent Controversies

Masha Slamovich has been pulled from TNA’s upcoming television tapings, according to PWInsider. The decision places her on an indefinite hiatus from the company following Victory Road and comes amid domestic violence allegations made public by her former partner, independent wrestler AKIRA.

The removal follows TNA’s earlier move to cancel her scheduled Knockouts Championship match against Ash By Elegance at Victory Road. TNA later confirmed to Sports Illustrated that it has launched an internal investigation into the matter.

Slamovich addressed the situation on September 24 in a prepared statement, calling the relationship “toxic and mutually destructive.”

“Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.

I take responsibility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out.

In the time since, I have sought help to reflect on this time and deal with conflict in more mature, healthier, and sustainable ways.

I apologize to those that I let down, including my former partner. I hope he is able to heal.

This will be my only statement on the matter.
Masha”

The controversy escalated after a friend of AKIRA released alleged screenshots and images depicting troubling behavior. In his own statement, AKIRA, whose real name is Alexander Atkisson, revealed he attempted s—cide multiple times during the relationship.

The fallout has extended beyond TNA, as independent promotions including West Coast Pro and Prestige Wrestling have also pulled Slamovich from upcoming appearances. According to Fightful Select, her TNA contract is already nearing expiration.
