Big Baby at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Hollywood on October 9, 2025. The announcement comes amid speculation over his AEW contract status and a potential WWE return.

The engagement was confirmed in an official Instagram post. Jericho will host the Q\&A for the world premiere of the Spider One-directed horror film. “So excited to announce @chrisjerichofozzy will be hosting the Q\&A for the World Premiere of BIG BABY at @screamfestla October 9th at 7:30pm,” the post read, noting the screening will be held at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

This booking adds to Jericho’s schedule during an extended hiatus from AEW. He has not appeared for the company since April 2025. His last televised match came at AEW Dynasty, where he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido in a Title vs. Mask match.

In storyline, Jericho’s exit followed the next episode of Dynamite. The leader of The Learning Tree turned on his stablemates, Big Bill and Bryan Keith, attacking them before walking out.

Speculation about his future led AEW President Tony Khan to comment earlier this month. In a September 12 interview, Khan said, “we absolutely want Chris Jericho back in AEW, and hopefully soon.” He urged fans to “stay tuned” for updates on television.

Rumors of a WWE return were fueled after Jericho liked a social media post discussing his AEW contract. However, in an interview with the Daily Mail, he dismissed the idea of leaving. Jericho also has prior experience in the horror genre, having appeared in the 2024 film Dark Match.
