Former WWE U.S. Champion Set to Return After Nearly a Month Off TV

Jacob Fatu is expected to return to WWE programming soon, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The Samoan Werewolf has been off television for nearly a month, with his last appearance on August 29, 2025.

Fatu’s most recent televised role came in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown. He appeared in the closing angle, assisting Sami Zayn in defeating Solo Sikoa to capture the United States Championship.

Dave Meltzer’s report was concise, stating simply, “Jacob Fatu will be back imminently.”

Since then, Fatu has only worked non-televised dark matches following SmackDown tapings, performing exclusively for the live crowd.

His absence from television followed a stretch earlier in 2025 when he lost the United States Title, sparking discussion among fans that his momentum had stalled.
