The Miz has declared the current WWE product superior to the Attitude Era. In an interview with The Schmo on September 26, 2025, the two-decade veteran argued that today’s success in live event revenue, roster depth, and storylines surpasses the heights of the late 1990s.
He supported his position by citing the company’s unmatched financial and creative momentum. “Last year was a record-breaking year. It’s the biggest WrestleMania we’ve ever had. I’ll say this time and time again, there was an Attitude Era. This is bigger than the Attitude Era. The storylines are bigger than they’ve ever been. The stars, our roster is deeper than it’s ever been, whether you’re cheering someone or booing someone. WWE always finds a way to do better the next year. As best as you could possibly do, which I think we did amazingly last year here at Allegiant Stadium, it’s going to be nothing compared to what happens at WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium.”
The Miz attributed the company’s creative strength to Paul “Triple H” Levesque, praising him as “one of the best minds in the business.” He credited Levesque’s leadership for consistently sold-out shows and compelling storylines, affirming his full support by stating, “the proof is in the pudding.”
While the Attitude Era is remembered for its historic television ratings, The Miz emphasized that modern business metrics provide a clearer measure of growth. Under TKO Group Holdings, WWE has set records in overall revenue, live gates, and global media rights, with landmark partnerships secured with Netflix, USA, and ESPN.
The comments arrive as The Miz, a former WWE Champion, prepares for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas with his position on the card still undefined. His WrestleMania history reflects versatility, ranging from a main event against John Cena to high-profile celebrity tag team matches.
