WWE producer Shane Helms has publicly praised Akira Tozawa, offering strong support for the Raw superstar following a cryptic message that raised questions about Tozawa’s future in wrestling.
On Friday, September 26, 2025, Tozawa posted on social media about the physical toll of his career, writing alongside a photo from a recent WWE Main Event match against Dragon Lee: “I wonder how many more matches my body can handle.” The comment fueled speculation about his long-term in-ring prospects.
Shortly after, Helms responded on X with high regard for Tozawa’s abilities. “Maybe the most underrated Talent on TV currently. Or at least in the convo,” he wrote, highlighting his respect for Tozawa’s work.
The post comes during a reduced stretch of television exposure for the Alpha Academy member. While Tozawa has remained active on Main Event in 2025, he has wrestled only twice on Raw this year. His WWE tenure dates back to the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, which set up his Cruiserweight Championship reign in 2017. He is also remembered for his eighteen 24/7 Championship wins.
Helms, best known to fans as The Hurricane, has worked as a WWE producer since 2019. His in-ring career with the company spanned much of the 2000s, and he continues to be a visible presence behind the scenes.
