Former WWE superstar Bishop Dyer has spoken out about his former tag team partner, Bron Breakker, stating that he sees him as a singles star being underused as a “background player” in The Vision faction on Raw. In an interview with SEScoops, Dyer emphasized that Breakker has the tools to become a future WrestleMania headliner.
Dyer explained that Breakker’s mix of charisma and athletic skill makes him stand out, but he feels the performer is overshadowed within the group led by Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. The Vision, which also includes Bronson Reed, was introduced on the Raw episode that followed WrestleMania 41.
Looking back at their time together, Dyer recalled how he and Breakker, as The Wolfdogs, won the NXT Tag Team Championships in 2024. He credited that run with helping Breakker develop his on-screen presence, moving beyond the “angry powerhouse” role to show more range and personality.
Sharing his candid thoughts, Dyer said: “I like him in The Vision but I don’t like him in The Vision because I think that he is such a star. He carries so much personality, athletic ability, and what he can do in the ring he is truly special. And obviously I’m partial to him because we created The Wolfdogs and I think that woke up a lot of people up to how good I actually am as well because we were doing some pretty incredible matches. And I think I did a good job of helping him bring personality out a little bit, a little less just being the tough angry guy and about having fun with it, and I think it helped him evolve and we bettered each other. So when I see him in the background of a group because now you have Heyman, Seth, Becky and then Bronson and Bron are kind of a step behind them. And I’m like he’s not a background player and I know it’s buying time and getting him reps but you kind of just put him in another tag team. I think he’s a singles star all the way through and the day he turns on Seth I’m going to be so happy whenever that happens. Because I think he’s gonna headline a WrestleMania at some point so I love supporting him and what he’s doing and the stuff he’s putting out there.” (h/t Wrestletalk)
His comments align with backstage reports suggesting Breakker is being positioned for a marquee role. Bodyslam recently noted him as a possible opponent for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
Lesnar, meanwhile, was re-established as a dominant presence after defeating John Cena decisively at Wrestlepalooza, marking his first match in over two years. Dave Meltzer reported that Cena pushed for the one-sided finish as part of his farewell tour to elevate Lesnar as a credible threat for a rising talent.
Dyer’s WWE contract ended in November 2024. He now competes in MLW, where he and Dijak hold the MLW World Tag Team Championships as The Skyscrapers.
