Major Update Clarifies WWE Star’s Status After Injury Rumors

Kelani Jordan is the new TNA Knockouts Champion after capturing the vacant title at Victory Road in Edmonton on Friday night. She defeated Lei Ying Lee in the finals, overcoming an injury scare mid-match. According to Bryan Alvarez, TNA sources later confirmed that Jordan “seems fine” despite the incident.

The scare came when Jordan attempted a hurricanrana from the apron to the floor. On impact, she struck the back of her head. Even so, she continued and finished the bout without interruption.

Earlier in the night, the championship was declared vacant when Ash By Elegance relinquished the belt. Officials quickly organized a battle royal, with the last two performers advancing to a singles clash for the gold. Jordan and Lee emerged as the finalists, setting the stage for their showdown.

Indi Hartwell served as the special guest referee. During the contest, she was accidentally knocked down, leaving her unable to count after Lee landed her spinning heel kick. That window allowed Jordan to recover, connect with a split-legged stunner, and score the decisive pin.

The outcome immediately set up Jordan’s first defense, as she will face Hartwell at Bound For Glory next month. This win marks her first reign with the Knockouts Championship. She is now recognized as the 68th overall champion and the 30th individual to hold the title.
