The Miz Confirms Wrestlepalooza as WWE’s Sixth Marquee PLE

WWE star The Miz has confirmed the company’s new top-tier event structure, identifying Wrestlepalooza as the sixth marquee premium live event. During an appearance on Bussin’ With The Boys, he stated the show joins WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank in what he termed the “big six.” All six events will air on ESPN, which is the new home for WWE’s PLEs.

“Our first one is Wrestlepalooza,” The Miz said during the interview. “It’s going to be part of the big six. You’ve got WrestleMania. you’ve got Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, SummerSlam, Money in the Bank, and now Wrestlepalooza. We have big six. These are our big, huge PLEs and they’re all going to be on ESPN.

The establishment of Wrestlepalooza as a major attraction aligns with reports that WWE intends to promote the show on a scale comparable to WrestleMania. The company also recently announced a significant international expansion for its flagship event, with WrestleMania 43 scheduled for Saudi Arabia in 2027, marking the first time the show will be held outside of North America.

The Miz noted that WWE’s strategic shift under TKO Group Holdings has included a reduction in the number of live events. This move coincides with a focus on landmark media rights deals, including the new partnerships with ESPN for PLEs and Netflix for weekly programming.

These comments follow a separate interview on September 26 where the former WWE Champion argued the current era is “bigger than the Attitude Era.” He attributed this success to the creative leadership of Paul “Triple H” Levesque, as well as superior storylines and roster depth, pointing to record-breaking revenue and consistently sold-out arenas as evidence.

Speaking on the Netflix partnership specifically, The Miz affirmed it is creating a new generation of fans. “I think us going to Netflix was a huge, huge move. The reason being is, one of my buddies lives down the street and he has three boys and he was like, ‘Yeah, they never really watched until you were on Netflix, because now, it’s not at 11 o’clock at night, they have to go to bed…’ But, when they get home from school, it’s on Netflix. It’s right there.
