A new update has been provided on the relationship between Parker Boudreaux and Paul Heyman. Speaking with So Cal Val for WrestlingNews.co, Boudreaux revealed that Heyman still offers feedback on his performances and remains an ongoing presence in his career.
Boudreaux explained that Heyman was instrumental in recruiting him early on, describing the veteran as both a mentor and a figure who helped shape his development. “Paul Heyman was recruiting me at a young age. Not many people get the rub from Paul Heyman, especially at a young age like I did. And for him to be not only like a mentor for somebody that brought me into the business, showed me how to really work and to become one of those elite Paul Heyman guys, it’s an honor, man,” Boudreaux said.
He added that their connection continues to this day, stressing that Heyman still watches and critiques all his matches. “It’s a privilege to be having a great relationship to this day with him. I still talk to him very, very often, and he still critiques all my matches. So I think in the future it would be [great] to work with him… at some point. That would be kind of like a full circle moment,” Boudreaux stated.
The bond between the two dates back to Boudreaux’s teenage years, when Heyman began mentoring him around the age of 15 or 16. During that period, Heyman viewed him as a rising talent in the mold of Brock Lesnar, a comparison that Boudreaux has described as both a blessing and a challenge.
Boudreaux’s path in pro wrestling has included a stint in WWE, where he performed as Harland. He signed a developmental deal in 2021, debuted in NXT that December as Joe Gacy’s enforcer, and was released in April 2022. Following his departure, he moved on to AEW and later competed in international promotions such as Lucha Libre AAA and Gleat in Japan.
Through those career shifts, his partnership with Heyman has remained a consistent influence, with Boudreaux framing it as one of the defining aspects of his journey in the business.
