The card for the October 6 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, the brand’s final show before the Crown Jewel premium live event, has been officially announced. The lineup includes the return of CM Punk and two significant matches in the women’s division.
Becky Lynch is scheduled for her first match since a loss at WWE Wrestlepalooza, as she will face Maxxine Dupri. The one-on-one contest was booked following a backstage angle on this week’s program where Lynch mocked Dupri before attacking her associate, Akira Tozawa, and then Dupri herself as she tended to Tozawa.
In another women’s division bout, Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez will compete in a rematch. Valkyria previously secured a singles victory over Perez on the September 15 edition of Raw. This week, the ongoing angle between the two expanded to include Bayley and Raquel Rodriguez, with Valkyria saving Bayley from a post-match attack by the duo of Perez and Rodriguez.
CM Punk is also set to appear on Raw for the first time since his victory alongside AJ Lee at WWE Wrestlepalooza. The October 6 broadcast will also see the show return to its traditional 8 p.m. Eastern start time, following three consecutive weeks that began an hour earlier.
