The identities of El Grande Americano’s masked allies were officially announced during the September 29 episode of Monday Night RAW. The two luchadors, now known as Rayo and Bravo, are part of the new ‘Los Americanos’ faction and made their in-ring debut against the team of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
The new ring names were confirmed during the broadcast as the faction, led by El Grande Americano (portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser), made their entrance. The luchador in the red mask was identified as Rayo, while his partner in blue was named Bravo. The duo is believed to be Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate performing under the masks.
Despite making their official debut, Los Americanos were defeated by Styles and Lee in a short contest. The finish saw Dragon Lee neutralize threats to set up Styles for the Styles Clash. An attempt by El Grande Americano to interfere was also thwarted, leading to a decisive win for the face duo.
The match came after AJ Styles cut a promo addressing his upcoming clash with John Cena. His partner for the night, Dragon Lee, expressed that it was an honor to team with him and stated his own intentions to pursue Dominik Mysterio’s AAA Mega Championship. The official formation of the Los Americanos faction had been announced one week prior, on the September 22 edition of RAW.
The El Grande Americano angle has continued to develop, with the addition of Rayo and Bravo solidifying the faction. However, the group’s formation leaves the potential return of Chad Gable in a luchador role uncertain as the storyline progresses.
