Kofi Kingston is reportedly not on WWE’s internal injury list following the September 29 episode of Monday Night Raw. According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, the former WWE Champion is apparently okay after being rocked by a knee during his match against LA Knight.
The bout was booked earlier in the broadcast by Adam Pearce after Knight demanded a World Championship opportunity, noting he was the last person to pin Seth Rollins. The New Day interrupted the segment to ask for a World Tag Team title match, leading to Pearce sanctioning the one-on-one contest.
The match saw LA Knight secure a significant victory, snapping a singles losing streak that dated back to July. Kingston initially controlled the pace with his speed, but Knight gained the upper hand by taking the fight to the floor and slamming Kingston’s head on the barricade.
Knight’s win came after he neutralized Xavier Woods, who had repeatedly interfered at ringside for his New Day partner. After handling the outside interference, Knight ducked a Trouble in Paradise attempt and connected with the BFT for the decisive pinfall.
