Shinsuke Nakamura will make his return to the ring after a more than four-month hiatus, teaming with CM Punk and Jey Uso to battle The Vision at WWE’s upcoming live events in Tokyo, Japan. The two-night engagement is scheduled for October 17 and October 18 at Sumo Hall.

The King of Strong Style has been out of action since June 13, when he competed in a King of the Ring qualifying match on SmackDown. His return comes during a year that has seen his in-ring schedule significantly reduced, with only 15 matches wrestled in 2025, a career low for the 23-year veteran.

The angle with The Vision is set to unfold across both nights in Tokyo. On October 17, Nakamura will team with Jey Uso to face the stable’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The following evening, the conflict escalates into a six-man tag team main event, as Nakamura, Uso, and CM Punk will face the full Vision lineup of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Breakker, and Reed.

The Tokyo cards also feature several other high-profile championship and non-title matches. The first night will see Seth Rollins defend the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk, marking Punk’s first WWE match in Japan since facing Alberto Del Rio in December 2011.

In the women’s division, Women’s United States Champion Giulia has two major matches scheduled. She will first defend her title in a Triple Threat match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley on October 17. On the second night, Giulia will face Kairi Sane in a singles match, with Asuka at ringside. Additionally, the October 18 event will feature a tag team bout where IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley will team up to face The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
