LA Knight Receives Major Endorsement From WWE Hall of Famer Amidst Losing Streak

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry believes LA Knight has cemented his place at the top of the card. The endorsement adds to The Megastar’s current momentum, which saw him snap a significant singles losing streak on the September 29 episode of Monday Night RAW by defeating former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.

In a recent interview, Henry admitted he wasn’t always sold on the 42-year-old superstar but has been won over by his recent body of work.

“LA Knight is an outstanding talent. There was a time when I didn’t believe. I thought that he leaned on what other people did and are doing too much, and not creating his own thing. He has proved that he belongs and deserves the opportunity to be the guy,” Henry stated.

The World’s Strongest Man also offered some constructive advice, suggesting Knight should refine his in-ring style to better showcase his primary strengths.

“There’s things that he does that I would say, ‘Hey man, segue out of that and do more of what you’re really good at,’ which is walk and talk,” Henry explained. “He’s a good wrestler, at the end of the day. There’s so much that he can do that he doesn’t do, and you need to lean into that.” (h/t Wrestling News)

Henry directly confronted the narrative that Knight is too old to receive a main event push. Drawing on his own extensive experience, he dismissed the concern as irrelevant in the context of wrestling history, where many stars peaked later in their careers.

“As far as him being too old, there was a time where in wrestling, you didn’t even get your shot until you were 40. You didn’t get a shot. Guys wrestled into their 60s,” he said.

Knight’s pivotal win over Kingston, which was his first one-on-one victory since July, was hard-fought. He had to overcome constant interference from Xavier Woods at ringside before finally hitting the BFT for the pinfall.
