TNA Readies Major 2026 Announcement

TNA Wrestling is in active talks with a partner for a new media rights deal set to begin in 2026. Company president Carlos Silva confirmed to TVInsider that discussions have moved past the exploratory phase and into formal negotiations.

“We’re now in active negotiations with a partner, and we’re going to work through that,” Silva said. “The good news is the process has started. We’re no longer just talking to a bunch of people to gauge interest. Now we have an interested partner and we’re working through potentially a deal for 2026.”

The talks follow a summer evaluation reported by The Takedown on SI, which valued TNA’s media rights between $7 million and $10 million annually. As part of the new deal, the company is open to shifting its programming, with Wednesday nights mentioned as a possible landing spot.

The timing lines up with TNA’s growing visibility through its partnership with WWE NXT. Next Tuesday, the two promotions will present a special “NXT vs. TNA Showdown,” headlined by The Hardys taking on DarkState in a match with both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships on the line.

Meanwhile, TNA is also gearing up for Bound For Glory on October 12. The event will feature TNA World Champion and current NXT star Trick Williams defending his title against Mike Santana.

Silva stressed the urgency of finalizing the media deal. “We were working on it as recently as yesterday, exchanging papers and trying to figure it out… We’re excited about it and keep pushing it forward to get this over the finish line.”
