WWE Announces Major Jordynne Grace Role for NXT vs. TNA Showdown

Jordynne Grace has officially been named the special guest referee for the Women’s Survivor Series match at the upcoming NXT vs. TNA ShowDown. The announcement came from Ava on Twitter, who addressed Grace’s frustration at being left out of the card and credited her for helping make the crossover possible.

The match takes place on the October 7th edition of NXT. Team NXT will feature Jacy Jayne, Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice, while Team TNA will be represented by Kelani Jordan, Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee, and Mara Sadè. Grace’s new role adds extra intrigue, with a key TNA star now in charge of calling the action.

This development follows Grace’s storyline at NXT No Mercy, where Blake Monroe cut part of her hair during a Weaponized Cage match after handcuffing her to the ropes. Days later, on September 28, Grace revealed a straight-haired look on social media, explaining it was a result of the match but assuring fans her curls would return.

In her announcement, Ava directly quoted Grace: “Jordynne, you’re right — you made some good points. I don’t think there would be this NXT–TNA crossover without you. So, I’ve decided that you’re going to be the special guest referee for the Women’s Survivor Series match on Tuesday.” The move was framed as both an answer to Grace’s concerns and a recognition of her role in making the crossover happen.

Grace’s presence as referee raises questions heading into the showdown. Will she remain impartial, or could her influence sway the outcome? Fans will be watching closely to see how her authority shapes one of the event’s biggest matches.
