Rey Mysterio gave fans a major scare on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, held in Toronto, Canada, when, shortly after his loss to Austin Theory, he was quickly escorted out of the ring by the referee due to a shoulder injury suffered during the match, preventing him from becoming the target of another brutal attack by The Vision.

Right after the show went off the air, Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, revealed that despite the frightening moment, Mysterio’s injury was not serious and therefore might not jeopardize his participation in the WWE Royal Rumble, taking place on Saturday, January 31, in Saudi Arabia.

Last night, on January 27, Mysterio shared a photo on his official Instagram account, where he appeared alongside Dragon Lee and Penta, inside the WWE plane heading to Riyadh.

Today, in a new post, “The Master of 619” shared another photo, this time already in Riyadh, alongside other names such as Jade Cargill, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, among others.

Despite being present in Saudi Arabia, which is indeed a positive sign, there is still no official confirmation regarding his participation or removal from the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match.

Mysterio’s name remains listed for the match on WWE.com. The expectation is that he will undergo one final medical update so that his status for the event can be determined.
