AEW and Rey Fenix Deal Close to Being Finalized
Sportskeeda reporter Chris Featherstone reveals Rey Fenix’s pending AEW release negotiations are progressing toward resolution.
According to Sportskeeda’s Chris Featherstone, Rey Fenix is nearing his departure from AEW as negotiations with Tony Khan regarding his release continue to advance toward resolution.
Fenix’s contract situation differs from those of Malakai Black, Miro, and Ricky Starks, who departed AEW last week, due to injury time being added to his existing agreement. Starks has already made his debut on NXT.
Initial plans involved Fenix joining forces with Penta in WWE as a tag team. Sources indicate Tony Khan has received recommendations to finalize the wrestler’s release situation.
