All Elite Wrestling has shifted the start time for its All Out pay-per-view to 3 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, September 20, a move that will prevent a direct head-to-head broadcast conflict with WWE’s newly announced Wrestlepalooza event. First reported today by Fightful, the decision moves All Out from its originally planned 8 p.m. slot, ensuring most of the show will have concluded before WWE’s Premium Live Event begins at 7 p.m. Eastern.
The adjustment was reportedly discussed for weeks within AEW. Sources cited in the report indicate that the success of the afternoon start time for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view helped influence the decision to make the change.
This scheduling shift comes as both companies prepare for significant broadcast debuts. All Out, set to take place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, will be the first AEW PPV to stream on HBO Max. Pre-orders on the platform will launch on September 5, with U.S.-based HBO Max subscribers able to purchase the event for $39.99. The broadcast will be presented without ads, and while still available on other providers, the promotion will be primarily centered on HBO Max. A special lead-in program, “AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl: All Out,” will air at 2 p.m. ET on both TNT and HBO Max.
Meanwhile, WWE’s Wrestlepalooza will mark the company’s first PLE to air on ESPN’s new streaming service. The event, scheduled for Indianapolis, is expected to feature a main event between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, along with a match for the Undisputed WWE Championship between a returning Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.
The first match officially confirmed for All Out is Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. FTR. For Wrestlepalooza, the first confirmed bout is Stephanie Vaquer vs. IYO SKY for the vacant Women’s World Championship.
