The partnership was confirmed by AEW via a social media post on X, revealing that the collaboration will launch with a special preview edition available exclusively to attendees at next week’s New York Comic Con.
The announcement serves as a significant out-of-ring development for the company, coming just hours before a heavily promoted broadcast of its flagship show. AEW officially confirmed the collaboration on X, stating: ‘AEW and @DCOfficial join forces for a groundbreaking comic book crossover that unites two powerhouse universes in a bold new storytelling experience, launching with a special preview edition available exclusively to fans at New York Comic Con.’
The timing of the announcement is notable as it precedes tonight’s special broadcast of Dynamite, which celebrates the program’s sixth anniversary. The anniversary show, held at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, features a stacked card headlined by a massive trios match pitting AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe against Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Claudio Castagnoli.
Other key matches scheduled for the event include a defense of the TNT Championship by Kyle Fletcher against the recently returned Orange Cassidy, as well as another trios contest where AEW World Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega and Brodido will face Josh Alexander and the Young Bucks. The broadcast is also set to feature the return of “Timeless” Toni Storm, a development tied to the build toward what is expected to be the first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match, announced for November 12.
