All Elite Wrestling is wasting no time building momentum after its All Out pay-per-view, as this Wednesday’s Dynamite is set to feature both a special “important announcement” from President Tony Khan and the long-awaited return of Orange Cassidy.
While not officially billed in the match, Cassidy is heavily teased as the mystery partner for Mark Briscoe and Hologram in their six-man tag against Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero. The reveal came during All Out when Briscoe asked Kyle O’Reilly if their partner was ready, prompting O’Reilly—who was on the phone with the competitor—to reply with Cassidy’s signature catchphrase, “whatever.”
Details on Khan’s announcement were not provided, but his previous major proclamations on Dynamite have often led to significant developments. Past announcements have included the confirmation of the first AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door crossover event in 2022 and the ticket on-sale for All In at Wembley Stadium.
The announcements for this week’s Dynamite in Pittsburgh weren’t the only news coming out of the weekend’s pay-per-view. AEW also aired a promotional trailer for its next major event, WrestleDream, scheduled for Saturday, October 18, at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. Tickets for the newly announced event are on sale now.
