AEW stars Queen Aminata and Deonna Purrazzo took to social media this week to voice their frustration over limited opportunities in the company.
The conversation kicked off on X, when Aminata tagged AEW president Tony Khan and asked for more promo time and chances to compete in mixed tag matches. Soon after, Purrazzo — a former TNA Knockouts Champion — backed her up, saying she also wants a bigger role.
Since signing with AEW in January 2024, Purrazzo has seen little action. She’s wrestled only three times in 2025, losing all of them. Her last televised match came in February on Dynamite, where she was defeated by Harley Cameron. Her most recent win dates back to December 2024 on Rampage.
Aminata, meanwhile, is pushing for more spotlight but also shared a personal milestone with fans. In her latest vlog, she revealed she drove herself to a show for the first time since suffering a seizure in 2023.
“I’m so proud of myself,” she said. “It’s been forever. I haven’t driven two and a half hours alone in such a long time.”
With both wrestlers speaking out publicly, the spotlight now turns to their future in AEW and whether the promotion will give them the opportunities they’re asking for.
