AEW Star Pulled from Major Show Due to Injury

Red Velvet announced her withdrawal from CMLL’s upcoming Viernes Espectacular during the February 19 episode of CMLL Informa. She was scheduled to team with Lady Frost in the Women’s World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match.

Following Red Velvet’s announcement, Taya Valkyrie will step in as her replacement, marking Valkyrie’s first appearance in CMLL. This also establishes the first partnership between Valkyrie and Lady Frost, though the two have previously competed against each other in both singles and tag team matches in AEW and ROH, with Valkyrie holding two singles victories over Frost.

The championship eliminator match also features Las Valientes, Kira & Skadi, and Johnnie Robbie & Viva Van.
