AEW Star to Miss Rest of 2025

AEW star Hologram has been written off television after a backstage attack by TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher on Saturday’s episode of Collision. As a result, he will miss the rest of 2025 and has been removed from his scheduled TNT Championship bout this Wednesday on Dynamite. Orange Cassidy will now challenge Fletcher for the title in his place.

Earlier in the show, a video from Hologram’s rival Clon aired, setting the stage for the incident. After the segment, AEW President Tony Khan addressed the situation on social media. “After an unprovoked attack backstage at #AEWCollision tonight by TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, Hologram has significant injuries,” Khan wrote. “We’re all cheering for Hologram + wishing him the best in his recovery. Sadly, Hologram likely is out the rest of 2025.”

The nature of the injury remains unclear. AEW has not confirmed whether the damage is legitimate or part of a storyline designed to remove the 26-year-old from programming. The timing of the angle stood out, as Hologram had just competed on the previous Dynamite, where he secured a win in a trios contest by pinning Hechicero.

This is the second major setback in Hologram’s AEW run. Since debuting in July 2024, the masked luchador has remained undefeated in singles and tag team competition. His momentum was first interrupted by a real ankle injury at WrestleDream, which sidelined him from October 2024 to February 2025.

That absence also coincided with the birth of his child.
