AEW Stars Consider WWE After Penta’s RAW Debut

Multiple AEW wrestlers expressed increased interest in WWE as a potential destination. Lucha Libre Online reports that two talents specifically plan to explore free agency in 2025, with WWE as their primary focus.

Our sources confirm to us that there are several AEW talents who do not feel comfortable with their role in the company. These talents did not dare to explore WWE as a real alternative due to the feeling of uncertainty of getting lost in the “monster system that is WWE.”

The success of former AEW talents in WWE, including Ethan Page and Lexis King, appears to have shifted perceptions. The report indicates that having AEW experience now serves as a valuable bargaining tool for negotiations.

WWE Officials Show Strong Interest in Malakai Black

Malakai Black’s potential free agency draws WWE’s attention, with his AEW contract reportedly ending in early 2025. PWTorch reports that WWE views Black as a possible top singles competitor.

Black recently negotiated his contract terms with AEW regarding injury time extensions. His last appearance came at the Full Gear pay-per-view event alongside House of Black members Buddy Matthews, Brody King, and Julia Hart.

Black could enter free agency between February and March 2025. His previous WWE stint concluded in 2021.
