AEW and NJPW have selected an international location for their annual collaborative Premium Live Event in 2025. The companies are set to bring their cross-promotional showcase to the United Kingdom, moving beyond North American borders for the first time in the event’s history.
Tony Khan confirmed during a BBC London News interview that Forbidden Door will take place at The O2 in London on August 24, 2025. This announcement finalizes details that had been partially revealed earlier, with the date previously disclosed but the specific venue remaining unconfirmed until now.
The selection of London marks a significant shift for the joint event, which has previously been held exclusively in the United States and Canada during its nearly four-year history. The O2 represents a major venue upgrade with capacity for approximately 20,000 fans.
This booking also represents AEW’s debut at The O2, one of the UK’s most prestigious entertainment venues. The arena has hosted numerous major sporting events and concerts since opening, but this will mark its first time hosting this particular wrestling collaboration.
