Another Name Confirmed for 2025 WWE Hall of Fame Induction

Fred Ottman, known to wrestling fans as Tugboat and Typhoon, has confirmed his upcoming induction into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame. The veteran performer revealed this news during a recent interview with Bill Apter.

Ottman shared that longtime WWE creative executive Bruce Prichard personally called to inform him about the honor. The former tag team champion expressed gratitude about receiving the recognition.

Thank you. It is an honor. It was crazy when I got that phone call and they told me that. Mr. Prichard called me. He’s an awesome guy. I couldn’t believe it. I was like, wow, what an incredible thing. I always say there’s so many guys that are so worthy to be in there that aren’t yet. For this to happen, it was just amazing.

Ottman will be inducted alongside his late tag team partner, John Tenta, better known as Earthquake. The duo performed as The Natural Disasters during the early 1990s in WWE.

The Natural Disasters captured the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1992. Their run as a dominant tag team remains memorable for fans of that era.

The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class currently includes Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Lex Luger, Michelle McCool, Fred Ottman, and John Tenta.

WWE has scheduled the 2025 Hall of Fame Ceremony to take place at the BleauLive Theater inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas on April 18. The event will occur immediately following SmackDown.

Fans can watch the ceremony live in the United States on Peacock and WWE’s social channels starting at 12 AM ET/9 PM PT.

WWE is expected to announce additional inductees for the 2025 class in the coming weeks.
