During the WWE World Tag Team Championship match on the January 27 episode of RAW, JD McDonagh sustained serious injuries after a moonsault attempt resulted in a collision with the commentary table. The Judgment Day member landed awkwardly during the maneuver, striking the back of his head against the table.
Michael Cole and Pat McAfee addressed the severity of the situation during the broadcast, with Cole calling for immediate medical attention. Despite the injury, McDonagh continued the match against The War Raiders, who retained their championships.
Following RAW, McDonagh provided an update on his condition through social media.
First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good. I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit.
