Update on Asuka’s Return for WWE WrestleMania 41

Recent reports contradict earlier information about Asuka’s WrestleMania 41 status, with sources indicating her return is still months away following knee surgery.

Asuka will likely miss WrestleMania 41 as her recovery from knee surgery continues. Reports from BodySlam.net’s Cassidy Haynes indicate her return is still multiple months away.

This information contradicts earlier reports about her potential involvement in the event. Sean Ross Sapp had previously mentioned she was pitched for creative plans as early as January.

When asked on March 12 about Asuka’s status, Sapp reiterated what he had shared weeks ago. His information appears to be outdated compared to the newer reports.

I can’t speak to her health status or anything like that, but she had been pitched for creative heading into WrestleMania as far back as January,” Sapp stated. “I’ve not heard anything since, but at the time, she’d been pitched for a tag team program.

WWE is reportedly taking a cautious approach with Asuka’s recovery process. The company does not want to rush her back to in-ring action before she’s fully healed.

Asuka has been absent from WWE programming since April 2024. She competed through an injury before finally stepping away after Backlash France.

Her final match was a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship loss. Asuka and Kairi Sane were defeated by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at the premium live event.

While there’s no official confirmation that Asuka is absolutely ruled out from appearing at WrestleMania 41, all current information suggests she won’t be part of the show.
