Becky Lynch Slaps CM Punk Multiple Times on WWE RAW

A tense confrontation on tonight’s episode of Raw in Paris saw Becky Lynch repeatedly slap CM Punk after she came to the ring to answer his challenge to her husband, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The segment was a direct result of Lynch’s interference at Clash in Paris, where she helped Rollins retain his title by delivering a low blow to Punk.

As Punk called out Rollins, the Paris crowd began chanting for Punk’s wife, “AJ Lee.” Lynch immediately shut down the chants, saying the fans were chanting for “a dope who doesn’t work there anymore.” She then unleashed a verbal tirade on Punk, accusing him of disparaging her husband and calling him the “poster child for apathy” for walking out on the company years ago.

“You’re not the voice of the voiceless, you’re the poster child for apathy,” Lynch said, claiming that when Punk left, the crowd would chant his name during her matches to show they didn’t care about her. She told Punk he needed to get out of the way because he “doesn’t fit the vision.” When the crowd once again chanted for AJ Lee, Lynch reiterated, “She doesn’t work here.”

Punk retorted that he is the “Best in the World” and that Rollins hides behind both The Vision and now his wife. “You’re The Man, but you have bad taste and you married a bum,” Punk told Lynch. As Rollins appeared on the entrance ramp, Punk attempted to confront him, but Lynch blocked his path. After a brief standoff, Lynch slapped Punk multiple times, daring him to retaliate.

Punk refused to strike her, instead vowing to make Rollins regret cashing in on him at SummerSlam and to make Lynch regret touching him. The segment ended with Punk leaving the ringside area, his issues with The Vision now deeply personal and involving both members of the married couple. This is not the first time Lynch has verbally inserted herself into the feud; back in March, she engaged with Punk on social media with a since-deleted tweet, months before her physical involvement.
