Less than a day after slapping CM Punk across the face multiple times in the middle of the ring on WWE RAW, Becky Lynch has broken her silence, and it’s clear she has no regrets.
The physical confrontation on last night’s show in Paris was the direct result of Lynch’s actions at Clash in Paris. She interfered in the World Heavyweight Championship match by hitting Punk with a low blow, allowing her husband, Seth Rollins, to retain his title and officially aligning herself with The Vision faction.
Today, Lynch used her Instagram story to brag about the incident. She posted a picture of the slap and highlighted her top position in Uncrowned’s power rankings for women’s wrestling. To drive the point home, she added a quote referencing a prominent sports journalist.
“And it’s not just me saying it, other people say it. Ariel Helwani says it!” Lynch wrote.

The segment on RAW that led to the attack was intensely personal. When Punk called out Rollins, it was Lynch who answered, coming out to her husband’s theme music. She accused Punk of being “the poster child for apathy,” noting that fans used to chant his name during her matches as a form of disrespect.
Punk didn’t hold back, calling Rollins a “coward” and a “bum” who hides behind his wife. He then told Lynch directly, “you have bad taste and you married a bum.”
The verbal shots prompted the live crowd to chant for Punk’s wife, former wrestler AJ Lee, to which Lynch quickly responded, “She doesn’t work here.”
The segment concluded after Rollins appeared on the ramp to taunt Punk, only to retreat behind Lynch. With her husband safe, Lynch unloaded with a series of slaps. Punk refused to retaliate, instead warning her that she would “regret putting your hands on me.” The situation has fueled speculation about a potential return for AJ Lee, a topic even discussed by commentators Big E and Jackie Redmond on the official post-show.
