Big E Shares Major Update During WWE Hiatus

Big E shared a personal update on Instagram today, posting several photos from a recent trip to Paris with his fiancée, Kris Yim. In the post, he referred to Yim as his “wife-to-be, my co-conspirator and my best friend.” The trip followed his professional duties in the country.

The former WWE Champion was in France to participate on the panel for the WWE Clash in Paris Post-Show.

The post offers a glimpse into his personal life following his engagement earlier this year to Yim, who is the sister of SmackDown’s Michin. The couple had made their relationship public in April 2024.

This update comes as Big E continues his recovery from a severe neck injury he sustained in March 2022, which has kept him out of in-ring competition since.

His most recent televised appearance for WWE was on the December 2, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW. The segment celebrated The New Day’s 10th anniversary before ending with Big E being kicked out of the group by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

The career-altering injury occurred during a SmackDown match when Ridge Holland performed a belly-to-belly suplex on Big E at ringside, resulting in a fractured neck.

The incident remains a topic of discussion, with Holland recently addressing a fan on X who suggested he should have been fired.

Ooh, how classy of you. That’s not a very nice comment, is it? You’re thinking about me. I’m in your head. Living for free in your mind. Oh, and one more thing, you’re a virgin. Thanks, man.
