Braun Strowman eyes WWE Royal Rumble return after lengthy absence
Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman teases potential Royal Rumble participation while recovering from recent illness.

Braun Strowman signaled his interest in the upcoming Royal Rumble through a social media post, marking his first major statement since being sidelined with the flu. The premium live event is scheduled for February 1 at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium.
The former Universal Champion shared a workout video on Instagram, addressing his potential participation in the men’s Royal Rumble match:
I don’t think it’s gonna be to much of a problem to toss anyone out of the #RoyalRumble just gotta politic my way into it like the ones that already have!!!!
Strowman’s last WWE appearance came on December 27, 2024, when he defeated Austin Theory on SmackDown. His previous extended absence occurred following a torn groin injury sustained during the Last Monster Standing match against Bronson Reed.
The timing of his recovery could align with the Royal Rumble event, though his participation remains unconfirmed.

Gunther Could Form Unexpected Alliance on RAW
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther could potentially join forces with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller during tonight’s RAW to strengthen his assault against WrestleMania opponent Jey Uso.

Gunther has been making Jey Uso’s life difficult ahead of their WrestleMania 41 championship clash, and this strategy could escalate on tonight’s RAW with the possible formation of a new alliance. The World Heavyweight Champion might team up with former WWE Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to create an even more formidable obstacle for Uso.
The groundwork for this potential alliance was established in recent weeks. A-Town Down Under had a confrontation with Jey Uso that ended with Waller receiving a superkick. Last week, Theory and Waller attacked Uso, creating the perfect opportunity for Gunther to ambush his WrestleMania opponent.
Tonight’s RAW features a scheduled match between Jey Uso and Grayson Waller. This contest could potentially serve as a setup, with Theory likely to interfere and create a two-on-one situation. If this scenario unfolds, Gunther might join the assault, officially establishing a working relationship between The Ring General and A-Town Down Under.
The timing of this alliance makes strategic sense as Gunther and A-Town Down Under share Jey Uso as a common adversary. However, Uso may find support from Alpha Academy, who have their own issues with The Ring General and could help even the odds.
Any partnership between Gunther and the former tag champions would likely be temporary, serving primarily to torment Jey Uso on the Road to WrestleMania. This remains speculation at this point, with the situation expected to develop further on tonight’s broadcast.
