The 22-year-old striker opened up about his connection to professional wrestling in a conversation with SporTV. “When I was little, I was a big WWE fan, and John Cena was one of my heroes, one of my idols. Since childhood, I would sometimes do this celebration to honor him,” Rodrygo said.
The soccer player expressed his excitement after seeing Cena’s reaction on social media. “In the last game, I scored a goal and did this celebration. I told my parents and friends I would do it. And he reposted it on Instagram. I was very happy,” Rodrygo stated.
