WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella has fueled speculation of an in-ring return, stating she is nearly ready to compete again. The comments come in the wake of her twin sister Nikki Bella’s own recent comeback and place a potential spotlight on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
During the July 17 edition of The Nikki and Brie Show, Brie addressed a recent interview in which WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez expressed a desire to face The Bella Twins. This prompted Brie to provide an update on her own status.
“I’m like girl, I’m ready. Well, I need to get a little more ready, but I’m almost there!” Brie said.
Her statement follows Nikki Bella’s return to WWE programming in June for a storyline centered around the all-women’s premium live event, Evolution. While Nikki competed at the show, Brie was absent, a topic she also discussed. Brie admitted she was “yearning to be in Atlanta,” but ultimately felt she was where she was “supposed to be” with her family, supporting her sister’s run.
“Fingers crossed, I would love to come one day. If that will ever happen. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. That’s fine,” she added, acknowledging that it was currently “Nikki’s time.”
These remarks clarify the situation surrounding a potential Bella Twins reunion. In June, reports surfaced that Brie was in talks for a return alongside Nikki. However, Brie tempered those expectations during a red carpet interview on June 22, confirming she had not received a call from the company at that time. The Bella Twins, who were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020, saw their contracts expire in 2023, making any return a matter of a new agreement.
