Britt Baker’s AEW Contract Status Revealed

Dave Meltzer provided an update on Britt Baker’s contract status in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Meltzer, Baker’s AEW contract extends for a few more years. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful later specified on X that Baker has approximately a year and a half remaining, not including injury time.

This information follows varied reports about Baker’s status with AEW. Wade Keller of PWTorch initially reported that AEW President Tony Khan expressed frustration with Baker and planned to focus TV time on other performers. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio subsequently reported that sources indicated these rumors were “blown out of proportion.”

Baker, who signed with AEW in 2019, made history as the company’s first contracted female performer. Her achievements include capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship and winning the inaugural Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament in 2022.

Baker has not appeared on AEW programming since November 2024.
