Bronson Reed Reveals Promise From Triple H

Bronson Reed has revealed that Paul "Triple H" Levesque personally assured him his spot would be waiting for him after a severe ankle fracture suffered at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Bronson Reed Reveals Promise From Triple H

The moment Bronson Reed dove from the top of the steel cage at Survivor Series: WarGames in November 2024 was meant to be a declarative statement. Instead, it resulted in a devastating injury, as he smashed his talus bone and was put on the shelf for months. In the immediate aftermath, however, Reed received a crucial piece of reassurance from WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Reed detailed the scene backstage after fracturing his ankle. He initially believed the injury wasn’t severe, as he was able to walk away from the ring.

“I stood up and I walked backstage. The doctors didn’t think I had anything broken because I was able to walk,” Reed explained. “But then [Levesque] came and sat with me backstage, and he was trying to reassure me… I went to stand up and I couldn’t stand up.”

That backstage support was followed by a direct phone call from Levesque, who made a clear promise to the injured star. The message was to focus on healing, with an assurance that his momentum wouldn’t be lost.

“He called me himself, and he said, ‘Just worry about rehabbing and getting yourself right again…when you come back here, you’re gonna be in the right spot,” Reed recalled.

That promise was fulfilled when Reed returned to action in May 2025. He was immediately inserted into a main event storyline, aligning himself with Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman. The group, officially named “The Vision” in August, has since become a dominant heel faction on Raw, with Reed and Breakker often serving as enforcers in suits.

The injury had abruptly halted a significant run for Reed in 2024. Earlier that year, he had won the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown and subsequently challenged Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. His re-emergence as a key player in “The Vision” confirms that the high-level spot Levesque promised was indeed waiting for him.
