Bryan Danielson Makes In-Ring Return

Bryan Danielson made a surprise return to the ring during the AEW Collision tapings on Wednesday in Kent, Washington, competing in a brief match for the first time since October 2024. The appearance took place in a non-televised segment for the live crowd in his home state.

The moment occurred after the taping’s main event. Max Caster issued his “Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge,” which was answered by Danielson, who entered the arena in street clothes to his iconic theme, “The Final Countdown,” and a massive “welcome home” chant from the audience.

Before any real action could begin between Caster and Danielson, Adam Cole, who was already at ringside with his faction The Paragon, delivered a superkick to Caster. The bell rang, and Danielson immediately applied the LeBell Lock, forcing an instant tap-out.

This marks Danielson’s first in-ring activity since his loss to Jon Moxley at AEW WrestleDream, a match that signified the end of his full-time career. His subsequent absence has been attributed to health concerns and a potential neck surgery, making this return significant and fueling speculation about his future.

Following the quick victory, Danielson took a microphone and humorously told the crowd that for one night only, he was joining The Paragon and would be known as “Kyle Danielson,” providing a lighthearted conclusion to the evening for the fans in attendance.
