Chelsea Green Gains Unexpected Ally on WWE SmackDown

During the March 7 SmackDown in Philadelphia, Alba Fyre revealed herself as the newest member of Chelsea Green’s faction, helping Green retain her Women’s US Championship against Michin.

WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green defended her title against Michin in a street fight on the March 7 episode of SmackDown in Philadelphia. The match was a rematch from their December tournament final where Green first captured the inaugural championship.

Green initially had the advantage with Piper Niven at ringside. Since the match was a street fight with no disqualifications, Niven was able to interfere throughout the contest and assist Green.

B-Fab came to ringside to neutralize Niven’s presence. The two fought away from the ring area, leaving Green and Michin to continue their match without outside interference.

As Michin appeared to be closing in on victory after hitting a diving splash through a table on Green, the pin attempt was broken up by a hooded figure who entered the ring.

The mysterious person then revealed themselves to be Alba Fyre, who saluted Green, confirming her new alliance with the Women’s US Champion and Niven.

Fyre was previously on the Raw roster rather than SmackDown. Her tag team with Isla Dawn ended when WWE released Dawn, leaving Fyre without a clear direction.

A few weeks ago, WWE teased Blair Davenport potentially joining Green and Niven, but Davenport was released at the same time as Dawn.

According to WrestleVotes on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass podcast, the match had a different planned structure.

This match was spaced out for 11 minutes last night. I don’t know if Cena drawing out the opening of the show affected it, I know it affected other things on the show.

WWE has announced Theory and Grayson Waller will face Jey Uso and a mystery partner next week on Raw in Glasgow.

Alberto El Patron received a six-month wrestling ban in Tijuana after throwing a chair that struck a female fan during a AAA show on March 14.

The incident occurred after his match against El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

Fan footage captured El Patron throwing the chair before fans retaliated with projectiles, including another chair. El Patron then returned to the ringside area.

The ban prevents El Patron, the current AAA Mega Champion, from performing in Tijuana until September. According to Rob Viper, the restriction only applies to the city of Tijuana, allowing upcoming AAA tapings in Ensenada and Rosarito, Baja California to proceed as scheduled.
