Chris Jericho Donates $2,500 to Syko Stu’s Medical Fund

Chris Jericho has donated $2,500 to the official GoFundMe for Syko Stu. The donation is intended to help with the medical expenses Stu incurred following a violent, off-script assault by Raja Jackson on August 23.

The fundraiser was launched by Stu’s wife, Contessa Patterson, to cover his recovery costs and lost income. Highlighting that Stu is a U.S. Army veteran who uses wrestling to cope with PTSD, the campaign quickly surpassed $50,000 of its $60,000 goal within hours.

The story has also attracted attention outside of wrestling, with YouTube personality MrBeast publicly offering to help pay for Stu’s hospital bills.

This widespread support stems from an incident at a KnokX Pro Wrestling show in Los Angeles. During the event, Raja Jackson, an MMA fighter and son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, attacked Syko Stu in the ring.

While an initial slam was part of the planned performance, Jackson went on to deliver more than 20 heavy, unopposed punches to Stu’s head. The unscripted assault resulted in significant injuries, including broken facial bones and the loss of multiple teeth.

According to a family update, Syko Stu has regained consciousness and is able to speak, though he remains in critical care. His brother, Andrew Smith, noted that Stu has “some recollection” of the attack and faces a “difficult recovery ahead.”

KnokX Pro Wrestling has since condemned the assault as a “selfish, irresponsible act of violence.” The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating the matter.
