A claim has emerged suggesting CM Punk and Seth Rollins truly dislike each other beyond their televised rivalry. Wes Barkley, who worked as part of the security team during last week’s Raw brawl segment, shared this insight during a recent conversation with Fightful Wrestling.
The feud between Punk and Rollins has been building since Survivor Series 2023, when Rollins was caught on camera shouting at Punk following his WWE return. Their rivalry escalated with Punk defeating Rollins at Raw’s Netflix debut in January, and continues as they prepare for a Steel Cage match this week at Madison Square Garden.
Barkley, an independent wrestler who served on the security detail during their recent brawl, claimed the animosity between the two goes beyond storyline elements.
They hate each other. For real, they hate each other. I was kind of trying to feel it out the last couple of weeks and see what’s going on because it’s WrestleMania season and things are heating up. I never saw them in the same room or the same place.

The steel cage match between Punk and Rollins is scheduled for this week’s Raw at Madison Square Garden. The confrontation follows their heated brawl on last week’s show, where both men were eventually ejected from the arena by WWE official Adam Pearce.
Their feud intensified at Elimination Chamber when Rollins illegally interfered after being eliminated, costing Punk a victory in the match.
