CM Punk sends cryptic message to Paul Heyman after World Heavyweight Championship match
CM Punk’s Instagram post targets Paul Heyman after championship loss while tension builds with Dominik Mysterio.
CM Punk shared an intriguing social media post directed at Paul Heyman following his World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage match against Gunther in Chicago on December 29.
After Dominik Mysterio’s interference cost him the championship opportunity, Punk took to Instagram Stories. He posted an image of The Ramones’ song “I Don’t Want To Grow Up” and tagged Heyman, who currently serves as Roman Reigns’ special counsel.
The cryptic message adds another layer to the ongoing developments surrounding Punk’s WWE return. During the Steel Cage match, Dominik prevented Punk’s escape attempt by slamming the cage door in his face, enabling Gunther to retain his title.
Dominik Mysterio rivalry intensifies after cage match intervention
The incident revives a history dating back to 2010, when Punk targeted a young Dominik during his feud with Rey Mysterio. Their paths crossed again immediately after Punk’s WWE return, facing each other throughout the Holiday Tour.
Their recent encounters include a December 26 confrontation at Madison Square Garden, where Punk intervened when Dominik and Ludwig Kaiser attacked Damian Priest.
Punk now shifts focus to his upcoming match against Seth Rollins, scheduled for WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere on January 6.
