CM Punk Set for Major Title Match

WWE has announced a series of World Heavyweight Championship defenses for Gunther across Europe this March, ahead of his WrestleMania 41 match against Jey Uso. The European tour will feature championship matches in Germany and Austria.

WWE’s Germany social media accounts confirmed that Gunther will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins in Steel Cage matches on March 15 in Dortmund and March 16 in Hannover. Additionally, WWE has scheduled a title defense for Gunther against CM Punk on March 29 in Vienna, Austria.

The European title defenses come after Jey Uso’s challenge for WrestleMania 41. The 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner made his decision on RAW, where Gunther attacked him on the announce table and delivered multiple powerbombs before Uso confirmed his choice of opponent for Las Vegas.

Rollins and Punk’s involvement in these championship matches gains additional context as both competitors are rumored to face Roman Reigns in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 41, though WWE has not made any official announcement regarding this potential matchup.
