Cody Rhodes Chooses the True Tribal Chief Between Roman Reigns and The Rock

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes offered his perspective on the Tribal Chief debate during an interview with Theonemona. Rhodes addressed the potential claim to the title held by both Roman Reigns and The Rock.

Okay, well, from a reality standpoint, him [Reigns] and The Rock are both chiefs, real chiefs

Rhodes elaborated on his initial understanding of the Tribal Chief moniker, particularly referencing Paul Heyman’s emphasis on its significance and Reigns’ victory over Solo Sikoa.

Yeah, and I feel like I might have been naive and maybe a little uncultured, and knowing … it took me a while to kind of catch up. You know, when Mr. Heyman says something, you should probably listen, and that him going on about the Ulafala and stuff. I don’t think I really fully got it. And now I’m thinking, like, ‘Oh, it’s not the Million Dollar Title.’ It is it is genuine. It is real. And he represents it so well. They both do. But who’s the real Tribal Chief? I guess you’d have to say Roman is the real Tribal Chief. I’m not gonna say Solo, [who is] a child, petulant child.

The Bloodline Storyline Set to Continue for a Long Time

The Bloodline storyline continues to evolve, with Roman Reigns recently addressing its future during a Busted Open Radio appearance.

I think there is so much meat left on the bone and so many different ways to go. I’ve only given X amount. There are so many more layers for me to showcase. There are so many more layers for Jey, Jimmy [Uso], Solo [Sikoa], Jacob, or Tama [Tonga]. We have so many great characters. For the Wiseman. There are so many more layers to showcase.

Reigns concluded his thoughts by discussing the group’s longevity.

We’re all in our prime. I’m in the best shape of my life. Wiseman is getting into the best shape. It’s one of those things where, I think we can do this forever. I really do. A lot of people were like, ‘3rd inning.’ That was game one. It’s a seven game series. I’m not trying to bring up these analogies to pinpoint timelines. That’s me saying confidently I can run this thing for two more years, no problem.
