Cody Rhodes Confronted by Key Ally on RAW; Stern Warning Issued

Seth Rollins confronted Cody Rhodes on Monday Night Raw after Rhodes addressed The Rock’s recent offer. The tense exchange marked their first in-ring face-off since WrestleMania 40.

The segment began with Rhodes discussing The Rock’s February 21 SmackDown proposition, where The Final Boss offered to make Rhodes’ dreams come true if he agreed to become “his champion.” Rhodes reflected on his family legacy, particularly mentioning his late father Dusty Rhodes, and acknowledged that The Rock’s offer involved everything he had fought to achieve without having to continue fighting.

Before Rhodes could elaborate further, Rollins interrupted the segment. Rather than discussing a potential WrestleMania 41 match, Rollins immediately questioned Rhodes’ judgment regarding The Rock’s offer. He reminded Rhodes of their alliance against The Bloodline and expressed disappointment that Rhodes hadn’t immediately rejected The Rock’s proposition.

“The fact that you didn’t slap The Rock in the face was a slap in my face,” Rollins declared, suggesting that considering the offer might indicate Rhodes couldn’t handle the championship responsibility.

Rhodes countered by calling Rollins judgmental and pointing to Rollins’ own compromised past when he aligned with The Authority. This reference to Rollins’ controversial history created a powerful emotional moment between the two wrestlers.

Despite the tension, Rhodes acknowledged Rollins’ crucial role in helping him win the world title. Rollins then softened his approach, clarifying that he wasn’t judging Rhodes but rather trying to protect him from repeating Rollins’ past mistakes.

Rollins concluded by announcing his intention to win the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, adding that he wanted to face the same Cody Rhodes who dethroned Roman Reigns – not someone who might align with The Rock. His parting words made his championship aspirations clear: “I’m coming for your title.”
