All Elite Wrestling featured former stars Cody Rhodes and CM Punk in video packages during the sixth-anniversary edition of Dynamite on October 1. The inclusions are notable, as both men currently perform for rival promotion WWE following high-profile departures from the Jacksonville-based company.
Rhodes, known as “The American Nightmare,” was an instrumental figure in the formation of AEW in 2019, where he served as an Executive Vice President in addition to his role as an in-ring talent.
The anniversary montage showed him in a backstage segment, recalling his tenure before he left the promotion in 2022 and subsequently returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38.
CM Punk’s appearance was sourced from a trios match in December 2021, which featured him teaming with Sting and Darby Allin.
