Cody Rhodes Reveals Recent Backstage Disagreement with John Cena in WWE
Cody Rhodes reveals authenticity disagreement with John Cena that played out both backstage and on-screen during their recent Raw confrontation.

The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has pulled back the curtain on a genuine backstage disagreement between himself and John Cena. The authenticity dispute recently spilled onto WWE television during their face-to-face segment on the March 31 edition of RAW.
During an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, Rhodes addressed the real tension that exists between the two WWE superstars.
One of the biggest disagreements that John Cena and I had, and we had this disagreement both backstage and in front of the cameras, is that he feels I’m not authentic enough or as authentic as he was. I think at this point, I’m pretty confident in who I am and feel I have a proven track record. The answer is, you can’t be fake about this. Maybe that’s it, some of them don’t like you. You can’t please everyone, they may not like you.
The disagreement became part of their on-screen rivalry when Cena called out Rhodes for being too rehearsed and perfect during their Raw confrontation. This criticism highlighted a legitimate point of contention that had been brewing between the two veterans behind the scenes.
This real-life tension has now been incorporated into their storyline building toward WrestleMania 41, adding an authentic layer to their rivalry that goes beyond typical scripted programming.
