In an interview with TheOneMona, Cody Rhodes addressed the debate surrounding the Tribal Chief title within The Bloodline, acknowledging both Roman Reigns and The Rock’s cultural significance to the position.
From a reality standpoint, him and The Rock are both Chiefs—real Chiefs, real. I feel like I might have been naive and maybe a little uncultured in knowing. It took me a while to kind of catch up. You know, when Mr. Heyman says something, you should probably listen. That him going on about the ula fala and stuff—I don’t think I really fully got it. And now I’m thinking, ‘Oh, it’s not the Million Dollar Title. It is genuine, it is real, and he represents it so well. They both do.’
Rhodes ultimately recognized Roman Reigns as the true bearer of the title.
So, but who’s the real Tribal Chief? I guess you’d have to say Roman is the real Tribal Chief.
When discussing Solo Sikoa’s position within The Bloodline, Rhodes dismissed his current standing.
I’m not going to say Solo—it’s a child. I’ll say all kinds of bad stuff about Solo. But maybe one day. Maybe one day for Solo.
